Alan Wade – Technical Engineer

Alan joined the Step Fwd IT team in December 2022 and made his mark within our MSP team almost immediately – bringing a team-first attitude and a lively personality right from the get-go!

Before finding his way into the IT industry, Alan spent twelve years in the fire industry (putting them out, not starting them) – fitting and engineering fire suppressive sprinklers and systems. He has since spent the past 5 years in a number of differing IT roles across the transport and legal industries, bringing a variety of technological expertise and specialisations to each of these roles, so we’ve realised very quickly just how lucky we are to have him at Step Fwd IT.

Outside of the office, Alan spends much of his time “dominating” friends (or as he calls them – nerds) in a game of “Magic: The Gathering”. He also loves all things rock & metal music, enjoys reading Joe Hill books (he highly recommends ‘Horns’) and also has two awesome kids that keep him very, very busy.
